Neue Hauptplatine aber UEFI anstelle von Legasy Bios

Thread needs solution

I need to change my main disk (MB). (Too little RAM) would like to change from the current Gigabyte Bios to UEFI.

Is this change clear? Can I use the fuse on ASZ or HD?

Nick, you can do this by using ATI 2017 to create a full disk backup to an external disk drive, then restoring that backup to the new computer before running Acronis Universal Restore to prepare the restored OS to run on the new hardware.

Because you are also changing from Legacy BIOS with MBR and will be using UEFI on the new system, then you need to do the restore using the ATI 2017 Rescue Media and ensure that you boot this media in UEFI mode in order that the necessary conversion from MBR to GPT will take place.  You should also ensure that the SATA mode for your disk drive(s) is the same for the old and new motherboards, i.e. both using AHCI.

Doing a full disk backup is important before attempting further actions - this is your safety net in case any problems arise.

Because you already have Windows 10 installed, you could try just booting into Windows on the new computer after doing the restore as Windows 10 handles hardware changes much better than earlier versions.  Please note that unless you have a full retail license for Windows 10 or use a license type that allow for change of hardware, then you will be made to reactivate your Windows 10 OS and potentially buy a new license for this.  OEM versions of Windows are tied to the hardware where they are first activated by Microsoft rules.
