Problems with True Image New Generation
I am a licensed owner of True Image New Generation. I am having trouble getting a back up created. I follow the directions . Select the information on my desktop drive and choose the destination drive which is a Seagate external usb hard drive. It gets to 55% of the back up and stops. When I go to the main menu of the back up menu I try to stop the back up and it will not stop. I try to delete the back up and all i get is a spinning circle and in the middle of the screen it says processing. I'm unable to back up and stuck in a loop.

Ditto to Steve's questions. I can only suspect that there may be a sector issue on one of the disks - run
chkdsk /f /r
on both disks - it may take awhile if they are large and/or spinning drives.
or, the USB drive may be losing power during the process. There are power saving features in Windows for things like USB selective suspend in power management with different settings for AC and power. There are also additional USB power settings in computer management, device manager, usb that are nearly identical - I'd recommend disabling selective suspend and disabling power management in device manager for usb as well.
Some have found that using a usb hub has caused the poewr drops, some have found that using a back port on a pc instead of a front port has been helpful. Some have had to change cables, or use a different port. A few have found that changing their external hard drive case, that resolved the issue. USB power management can be a bit difficult to pin down as there are lots of possibilities.
