Is there a way to continue mouse operation when using winPE rescue media ?

When using winPE rescue I must use my laptop touchpad to navigate through the various steps. Is there a way to get the mouse operational during this process.

Touchpads often have specific OEM drivers. These drivers may not translate to the Linux rescue media since LInux may not have those particular drivers - Surface Pro 4 is a good example of such a system, but other touchpads can be impacted as well.
As Steve mentioned, a generic USB wired mouse can be an alternative.
I use logitech unifying devices and have 4 wireless logitech keyboards. All of those work fine in the Linux recovery media.
Another alternative is to use WinPE rescue media instead. You would need to download and isntall the Windows ADK first (top 3 items - roughly 3.4GB when installed) and then build a WinPE rescue media in Acronis media builder. Or, use our MVP winPE buidler tool if you want some nicer, custom WinPE rescue media.

I am using MPV WinPE Tool to build custom rescue media, but the bluetooth mouse doesn't seem to be recognized when I boot up on usb stick. Do I have to inject Logitech mouse bluetooth driver ?

I am sure that you would need to inject the bluetooth driver but as this is akin to a wireless device and these do not work with the Windows PE software due to limitations imposed by Microsoft, I suspect that this may still not work.

Correct, Bluetooth is not supported in WinPE. Non-Bluetooth wireless mice/keyboard may work with the correct drivers. Logitech unifying devices have worked fine for me.

Thank you for clarifying this issue
