Update not happening.

Thread needs solution

I got a message that a new version, I am assuming an update, is available.  I select to download and install the new version and it seems to go through the sequence of downloading, and then starting the install then it all goes away and ATI2017 is not updated.  I open ATI2017 and get a pop-up that a new version is available.  I select install.  The dialog box comes up "Unpacking Installation Files".  The "Install Wizard" box opens.  After that nothing happens and when I open ATI2017 I get the "New Version Available" pop-up all over again.  Is there a trick to getting the installation to work?

I'd suggest downloading a copy of the installer file directly from your account at www.acronis.com. Use that to instalI on your machine. I have had no success on my desktop using the update feature built in to the application.

Mark, in addition to the advice from Thomas, please ensure that you are running the ATIH application & update from an Administrator level account.

I downloaded the update from the Acronis web site and updated.  Performed a backup of my hard drive and selected to validate my back up and got a dialog box that says...

"Cannot find version 2"

"You may have moved or deleted it. Please click Browse and specify it's location.  If you ignore it, the previous version will be used for recovery."

Version 2 of what?  What am I looking for?  

Looks like there is a missing incremental backup. I assume that you have not accidentally deleted the incremental backup.

You may be able to solve the problem by validating the backup task. When you get an error message, click on ignore. Once the validation is completed, trying running the backup again.
