Thread needs solution

Hi there

I can't take out the HDD from the iMac and i've no idea how i could do a Clon that is bootable in the new PC.

Do anybody know a Solution?

You should contact support directly for this one.

1) You wont' be able to clone as cloning is full disk only and if your intention is to take the Windows OS only to another drive - clone won't help you here.  Instead, you need to take an image of the bootcamp parition and restore the image to another hard drive.  I have no idea if you can do that from a Mac to a PC successfully.  If the image contains all of the Windows paritions... bootloader, recovery and the OS parition, it should work, but not sure how Acronis handles the bootloader of Windows when it is coming from a Mac.

You can recover the Boot Camp partition separately by selecting this partition only and unchecking other check boxes in the Recovery wizard:

Once you have recovered a backup to a new hard drive and plan to put it in another computer, then you'll have to use universtal restore to generalize the hardware drivers.  You'll also have to make sure that your new system supports UEFI and the bios is properly configured.  It should be possible, but I'll be honest, it probably isn't going to be super easy.

Start with your bootcamp backup though and back it up completely (not the entire disk - just the bootcamp partition) using the Mac bootable rescue media.  Attach an external USB drive (or whatever drive you plan to use in the new sytem) and restore the boot camp parition to it.  Plug it into the new PC on SATA Port 0 with no other drives attached.  Make sure the bios is set to boot UEFI and that it detects the new drive as the first boot option.  Make sure the SATA mode is set to AHCI (I'm guessing the Mac would be using AHCI unless you have RAID setup).

Then, use the WINDOWS version of the bootable rescue media with Universal Restore.  Run universal restore and Generalize the drivers.

Try to boot after that.  If it says no OS is found, you will need to run a Windows installer disk that matches your Windows OS and try a startup repair.  If that doesn't work, you may have to manually try and repair the Windows bootloader (as a result of moving from a Mac to a non-Mac piece of hardware).

Good luck.  This will be a tough one (most likely).

Thanks a Lot for your Help!

When i read your Message i think i need the Support really ;-)
I try it and i've saved alredy all Datas separatly by Copy-Paste, so i'll loose not all.

Thank you again!
