Edith, welcome to these User Forums.

The only reference I see for ABR-135267 is for the Acronis Backup 12.5 business product, not related to Acronis True Image 2018?

See forum topic: Acronis Backup 12.5 Update 1 HF1 is available! - this is dated 15th Sept 2017 so is not a recent update!

If you have a problem which is related to ATI 2018, then more information will be needed to allow us to better understand the circumstances that gave rise to the issue?

Hello Mr. Smith

I saw that and i have the same Problem with Acronis 2018. (See Picture).

It must be happened between Version 9207 and 9850. The Issue will be copy with every Backup.

I don't see the same Issue in the Changelog since Version 9660.

Maybe this comes not from Acronis but the Machine is new installed since 09/2017 with Windows 10 1607 (It's not a test PC where i install and do all kind of things).

Also not every Recovery works i have to Format the hole Drive first. I only work with the BootCD.

Thanks

Regards

Edith, the information that you are seeing in the Boot Menu comes from the Windows Boot Configuration Data store, so this is where the duplicate entries are being taken from.

The first question here is to ask how many Samsung SSD drives you have installed in the computer.  My reason for asking is that this type of issue can arise if you have 2 drives installed where one has been cloned to a second and both offer a Windows Boot Manager option which is detected by the UEFI configuration settings for Boot Priority.

If you only have a single Samsung SSD drive installed, then the BCD needs to be edited to remove the duplicate entry.  The easiest method of doing this is to use a free program such as NeoSmart EasyBCD which provides a nice GUI to manage these entries.

I have not seen any forum posts for ATI 2018 causing this type of issue, nor any other version of ATI.

Hello again

I have only one SSD installed.

Will look into the bcd. But i'm to 99% sure that this comes from Acronis.

I also can't find some other Post with the same Problem.

When i find a reason i will post it.

Thanks for your Help! :)

Best Regards and have a nice Weekend

Okay the Problem is solved.

I installed Easybcd. Show only on entry. Then Reset BCD configuration.

After restart bcd error (Windows can't start). Entry in the boot manager was gone.

Start with Windows 10 DVD. Cmd open:

  • bootrec /fixmbr
  • bootrec /fixboot
  • bootrec /scanos
  • bootrec /rebuildbcd

Restart and Happy :=)

Where the issue now comes from i still don't know. Maybe it was Acronis... I not have made things in the bcd or something else. Just installed Windows 10 and Chrome. Strange...

Thanks for your Help.

Regards

Edith

Edith, glad to hear you have solved this issue as per your update.

Please see webpage: Resetting the BCD which shows how you could do this using EasyBCD without having to use the manual bootrec commands from the Windows 10 DVD.
