ATI backup failing with Error 0x13c0005: Operation has completed with errors.
Hi,
I recently updated to ATI 2017 and attempted to run a differential backup from my laptop. After about 1 hour the ATI console showed a red cross and "the last backup failed" when I click the red cross. Clicking show solution returns no results
I downloaded the MVP log file reader and the output for the backup is below but not being familiar with ATI I'm not clear what the actual error is.
I'm also not clear why this log shows "Operation has completed with errors." and the ATI console shows "backup failed".
Any pointers on how I troubleshoot this or resolve it appreciated.

A couple of things based on the trace-back info shown:
ATI was reading " Path: C:/Users/hilary/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/WidevineCDM"
and it got " error 0x40002: The end of the file has been reached. "
On my system, that WidevineCDM is a directory, not a file, and the directory is empty. (I don't use Chrome so that's not surprising.) Empty or not, ATI should be able to read the directory. You might run into the same problem as ATI. What happens if you use File Explorer to list the directory? You should definitely get an error if you have a file system problem. You might or might not have trouble if it is a permission problem.

Hi,
Thanks for the info guys, I checked C:/Users/hilary/AppData/Local/Google/Chrome/User Data/WidevineCDM and the directory is empty and I can create, edit and delete files in that directory. I am not sure which user ATI runs as though, I am guessing its "Local System" as thats what the ATI services are running as.
I am also noticed on the backup settings I didn't have the "Prevent computer going to hibernate or sleep" as the both the backups I attempted failed at almost the same point in time:

I am going to try rerunning the backup with the hibernate option set to not allow the computer to sleep.
I am not clear why this backup shows as failed though, shouldn't it just show an error that a file or folder was skipped and continue?

Martin, check the alternative 'Regular' log view in the MVP Log Viewer which will show more diagnostic details for the errors, which can include the file path for errors etc.

Thanks for the responses, I re-ran the backup with the prevent hibernate/sleep option disabled and still got the same error.
I checked the folders and noticed I had two WidevineCDM folders... one as "WidevineCDM" and one as "widevinecdm" with different modified and created dates. I deleted both of them and they show in the Recycle bin as "WidevineCDM".
Yet to test Chrome for that user but its resolved the backup issue as the backup just ran sucessfully.
