Backing Up my Office PC - How do I insure that the external drive always has the same letter

Thread needs solution

I'd like to try using Acronis to keep a daily backup of my office PC.  My plan is to have 7-10 incremental backups on the C (system) and D (data) drives and then a full backup for those drives.  I have a 4 TB external drive which I will always have connected to the PC.

My question is how do I insure that this external drive always has the same drive letter and is the one used by Acronis.  There are three other drives on that PC which will not be on the backup and which I do not want to be receiving the backup files.

Thanks.....RDK

RDK, the easiest method of ensuring your 4TB external drive always gets the same drive letter is to go into Windows Disk Management and then set the drive letter to be towards the end of the alphabet, using a letter that is very unlikely to be offered to any other USB devices that get plugged in to the computer, i.e. drive S to Z..
