Copying backup files to another drives requires short term authorizations

Thread needs solution

How can I turn off the requirement to authorize the copying of files from one drive to another. The one hour authorization is hampering my requirements.

I do all my backups to a NAS. I cannot use Carbonite on a NAS drive. I have a batch job to copy all my backups to my local drive that Carbonite backups. Redundant backup at its finest.

I don't want that required authorization pop up to occur (especially or mainly in that batch job). Is there a way to turn off that requirement in the batch job and when the copies are completed turn it back on?

edkocol, welcome to these User Forums.

I am not aware of an automated method of temporarily disabling Acronis Active Protection (AAP) that you can use while you copy your backup .tib files to your NAS.

See KB 60190: Acronis True Image 2018: how to disable Active Protection in Windows

See also forum topic: Active Protection warning on trusted app which was raised by another user wanting to control .tib files via a batch program (but was trying to delete one, not copy).

There are some batch files held in the MVP User Tools and Tutorials repository linked via the forum pages which can be used to control Acronis Services including AAP.
