Deleted folders keep reappearing and I'm sure its ATI thats doing it

Thread needs solution

I have dedicated folders on dedicated drives as the destination for all of my Acronis backup tasks.

As my needs change I delete old tasks and old destinations.

However Ive noticed soon after a backup task is run previously deleted folders re-appear.

I'm convinced its ATI thats doing it.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Thanks

BR, this can happen when the Acronis Database gets out of sync with your backup tasks and still holds information for folders that were used by older tasks.

The only real way to clear this is to force a rebuild of the database by stopping all ATI Services then ending all ATI processes, before then either deleting or renaming the Database folder at C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\

Once the Database folder has been either deleted or renamed, just relaunch the ATI GUI which will cause a new Database folder & files to be created and start to be populated with information from the current tasks.

Thank you Steve.

Yes I have long suspected it was an issue with a corrputed database but didnt have a clue how to fix it. Even uninstalling and reinstalling didnt work. I guess because it inherited the same database file.

If I go ahead with this, will the tasks resume as schduled or will I have to reconfigure them?

Thanks again.

BR, please see KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - which is the official page regarding rebuilding the database and which confirms that there should be no need to reconfigure any tasks etc.
