Failed recovery using True Image Home 2018 and 2019
I have in the last days updated from True Image Home 2012 to 2018. My computers are:
1) No name Tower using Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit SP1 and Intel Core Duo E 8400 @3GHz, 4 GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 550Ti several Hard Disks
2) Laptop Dell Vostro 5568, Intel Core i5 7200U, 2.5GHz, 8GB RAM, 256 GB SSD, Windows 10 Professional 64bit
With all versions, including #12 I had absolutely no problems. After installation of version 2018 ( I am deeply disappointed, I can't name freely my backup files) backing up all drives on both computers; I found it impossible to recover the backup from the external disk. Backup files are perfectly OK and can be used under version 12. The version 2018 finds the file under Backup but when I click on Recover button I get the following message:
"Cannot find version 1.
You may have or deleted it. Please click BROWSE and specify its location. If you ignore it, the previous version will be used for recovery."
After selecting the Backup file using the BROWSE button I get the same pop up message.
I am using Full Backups only of the corresponding partition.
The Knowledge base is suggesting to Add Acronis folders, processes and executables into Antivirus Exclusions (Kaspersky Internet Security, newest version).
This has not yielded any solution to the problem. No improvement either by temporary deactivating the Antvirus.
Any hint what might be getting wrong just by upgrading from version 12 to 2018? The version 2019 is showing the same problem.
Kind regards, Petr
