En réponse à Arturo, welcome to these… par truwrikodrorow…

Arturo, sorry but still too little information to fully understand the problem here?
How exactly are you trying to do this clone?
How is the new SSD drive connected to your computer?
What version & build of Acronis True Image are you using? This is the 2018 Forum - are you using that version, and if so, which build - #9207 is the very latest, else #9202 was the first public build released.
What is on the new SSD drive? Is it unformatted / empty?
How is your M.2 and SSD drive configured in the BIOS / UEFI configuration? Is it using RAID or using AHCI for the SATA configuration? If using RAID, then as far as I understand this is not supported when cloning.
Please see topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!! - this was written with ATIH 2017 and earlier in mind but has some important advice to offer, especially with regard to ensuring you have a full backup of the source drive before embarking on using cloning. Things have changed with ATIH 2018 which has introduced the ability to clone within Windows by using the Microsoft VSS function, but even this will require the computer to be restarted under some circumstances.

En réponse à Arturo, sorry but still too… par truwrikodrorow…

actually, i thought i had the 2018 version, but i actually have 2015, I'm sorry im new to this, i have no idea what the hell i was doing. I ordered a Crucial 2.5 ssd and it just gave me a key to the software. The SSD is formated and it is connected to Sata 2, but nothing is on it other than partitions. I have no idea what build this is, nor do i have any idea where to find that. None are in raid, my M.2 is just my boot. I just want to Clone my M.2 to my New SSD and make that one my boot.

Arturo, thank you for clarifying that you have the OEM Crucial 2015 version of ATI - this makes it very important that you read forum topic: [IMPORTANT] CLONING - How NOT to do this!!! - and to make a full disk & partitions backup of your M.2 drive before doing anything else!
See forum topic: unable to boot from another user opened today doing a similar clone using the Crucial OEM version of ATIH and finding himself with an unbootable computer!

my SSD is disk one, and my destination is disk 3
why is my M.2 unknown
- Se connecter pour poster des commentaires

The M.2 would be unknown as the M.2 specifications relatively new, and if I recall correctly you are using ATI 2015 OEM version which may not support M.2. Is the M.2 drive SSD or NVMe? (SSD have two notches and NVMe have only one notch).
I checked the KB and only found one item dealing with NVMe.

Arturo, Ian is correct, support for M.2 devices was only added to later versions of ATIH 2016 and 2017, so it is very doubtful that your OEM ATIH 2015 from Crucial will have such support.

It is not so much the drive itself which is unknown but the interface used for the drive. M.2 drives use a PCIe based interface vs. a standard SSD uses the SATA interface. The older versions of Acronis lacked support for PCIe interfaced devices.

I'm getting this same error, "One or more of your removable disks may not have started at the moment". I'm attempting to clone to an ADATA SU800 using the Acronis True Image HD 2015 migration utility. This is painful!!! I've had flawless data migrations to Samsung SSDs using Samsungs migration tool, so it's quite a surprise to be running into issues like this.
This definitely leaves me feeling like I'm dealing with a subpar product. I should not have to find 1TB of space to be able to backup my existing drive to then restore that to the SSD. COPY WHAT SAMSUNG DID, IT WORKS!!!

I ended up using another free product to migrate the data live without concerns of it destroying my original content. I don't understand why ADATA provides free access to the Acronis 2015 product when the 2018 product seems to have the functionality users expect - live data migration to SSD.
Why would ADATA want the purchasers of their product to have such a bad experience?

Ramon, welcome to these User Forums.
Please see KB 2201: Support for OEM Versions of Acronis Products - of which the ADATA version of ATI 2015 is such a product. These products are often limited in functionality and older than the current commercial Acronis products. Any issues arising from their use must be addressed to the company that supplies the product, i.e. to ADATA.
