Suddenly unable to delete old TIB files

Thread needs solution

For some reason my data/backup disk is not allowing me to delete old TIB files.  I do a full BU often and need to constantly run a totem pole delete on the oldest TIB.  For some reason my machine is telling me that file explorer needs an administrator (I am signed in as an administrator) to ok the deletion and it won't go forward.  That will keep me from doing my regular full backups in a couple of days due simply to lack of space.  My guess it is Acronis 2018 that is doing the refusal not Windows 10.

Try removing these TIB files from within the application GUI.  From the Backup view (default when you open the app) click on the small v looking character to the right of the backup name.  Find Open location and select it.  This will open an explorer windows showing this contents of the selected backup.  Can you delete the TIB files you need to here?

it was the new ransomware protection feature in 2018.  I disabled that temporarily and was able to delete the old files.  Then I reenabled the protection.  Neat feature for sure.

I thought so, I believe however that if you use the TI app to delete tib files then Ransomware Protection will not complain.
