Acronis True Image 2019 Bootable Medai build failed

Thread needs solution

Recently upgraded to to True Image 2019 needed Bootable Media to allow me to move operating system to new PCLe SSD running Windows 10 on HPZ820 workstation. Following all installation procedures with everything installing as required. Bootable Media fails to be generated. Any and all advise would be hugely appreciated

There may be a problem with the USB drive; the file system needs to be clean. There is a command line instruction that will clean up the drive: you use the diskpat command to do this - do an internet search for clean up USB drive - you get rults such as this one. Not that you need to be careful to avoid running the command on the wrong drive.

Bob, as advised by Ian the first check needs to be for the USB stick being used.

This needs to be 32GB or less in size and formatted as FAT32.

If the drive has been used for something else previously, then doing a full format is recommended or else use the following Diskpart commands from an Administrator level Command prompt window.

Preparing USB drive for use by Acronis using Diskpart
diskpart
list disk   (to identify USB drive, i.e. 1)
select disk 1
clean
create partition primary
active
format fs=fat32 quick
assign
exit

Again, take care to identify and select the correct drive so as to not 'clean' a drive with valuable OS or data contents!

If doing the above does not resolve this issue, then download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link below) and use this to check the log created for the media builder actions.

(I have no log files as recently did a clean install of the beta ATI 2020 application).
