ATI Backup failed can I initiate it manually?

Thread needs solution

My backup failed because the volume was off-line. Can I 'run now' rather than wait for the next scheduled backup? I tried help but there were 34 pages of topics none of which seemed to cover this.

btw: how do you search support for a phase? I typed 'restart backup' thinking it would search for the phrase as I have used qotation marks around it but that doesn't work.

Thank you,

liz

Hi Lizat,

Yes, you can press the "run now" button anytime you want.  It will continue with the next backup in the chain (depending on how you configured that).  Just keep that in mind if your backup plan relies on a daily backup, in case you run it manually and then it runs on schedule later on in the day too.  For instance.  If you take 1 full (Monday) and 6 incrementals (Tues-Sunday), so that your full is always on Monday... if you run an extra manual backup somewhere between, your next full could end up starting on a different day.  Other than that, it's no problem.

The forum search isn't that great, IMHO.  The forum platform got upgraded about a year and half ago to improve features... some of which it did (better security, more inline options regarding things like embedding pictures or videos, etc.).  However, we lost the ability to have more pertinent search options (like by application type - say just True Image 2019, and a specific time frame, or with just specific words).

I often have an easier time searching directly in Google for my phrase, while including Acronis True Image with it).
