NAS IP address changed - can't edit backup scheme to point o new address

Thread needs solution

ATI 2019.

Backing up to NAS.  Changed the subnet mask to change NAS from 192.168.1.3 to 192.168.70.3.

ATI will not allow to change the backup scheme to reflect new server address - it seems to want to detect the old server address first.  Any clues.  I'd upgrade to latest version if I thought this would be fixed, bit it does seem bizarre that you can only backup to or restore from the original IP address.

Any suggestions?

David, unfortunately this is a known limitation / issue with backups to network devices.

The best method to get around this is as follows:

Select the backup task and take the option from the task context (drop-down) menu to Delete the task - just remove the task settings.

Next, use the option 'Add existing backup' which is found by opening the caret 'v' to the right of the normal + Add backup option, then navigate to the new NAS location, enter the required credentials and select the most recent backup file to be added.

A new task will be created using the selected file name.  You can then rename the task to remove any extra characters, and will also need to reconfigure the task Source and Options before you can run it.
