Not Shutting Down When backup Completes

I have just updated 2 similar PC's to ATI 2019 & they both have identical backup tasks scheduled that run at the end of everyday. Both of the PC's have "shutdown the computer when the backup is complete" ticked but only one of them actually shuts down at the end of its backup.

The PC's were previously running ATI 2017 & both shutdown as expected before the upgrade, I have tried completely uninstalling & reinstalling ATI 2019 but it still refuses to shutdown.

Anyone got any ideas?

Ben, please download a copy of the MVP Log Viewer tool and use this to check your backup logs to see if there are any clues there as to why the shutdown is not happening.  Beyond that, you may need to raise this as a Support Ticket with Acronis and provide them with an Acronis System Report zip file for investigation.

Thank Steve, I ran the tool but there doesn't seem to be much of a clue. I've pasted the last few lines in case anybody else can find a clue in there.

Ben, sorry but not a lot to add from the log data.  I did a quick search to try to find any other hits from the forums and just came up with the following topic from ATI 2017.

Acronis True Image 2017 will not shut down after scheduled backup

One other thought, please check on the Advanced Options page for your backup and the Computer shutdown settings that you have the lower 'Shut down the computer after the backup is complete' is ticked.

Thanks Steve, the 'Shut down the computer after the backup is complete" is definitely ticked & I've also tried completely recreating the backup task now but still no luck. I'll contact support now but I can always use the post command function to shutdown, as in your link, if they can't help.

Anything in the Windows event log indicating something interfering with shutdown?  I believe there should at least be a request for shutdown showing in the log (but I don't remember what the event id is).   I would expect there to then be records indicating a problem.  If there is no shutdown request logged then that points back to ATI.

I did try searching for the shutdown log in the event viewer but there didn't seem to be any entries for it so as you say it's probably an ATI problem or something else interfering with ATI2019.
