Problem with MVP ATI WinPE Builder 186

Thread needs solution

I'm trying to create bootable media using wimre.wim, but at some point the procedure after "System scan and preparation in progress" stops and says "unexpected" and the procedure closes. How come?

Thank you
G

Mario, you should be using the newer rescue media builder which is a part of the MVP Assistant.

You can download the MVP Assistant from the link in my signature below. Look at the first link to the forum topic which contains a link to an earlier PowerPoint slideshow that gives a quick overview of how the rescue media builder works.

You need to run the MVP Assistant as Administrator to enable the rescue media builder.

I need to work with windows 7 32bit. What version should I use?

Thanks

Mario, the MVP Assistant does not work for 32-bit Windows 7. I do not have a version for that system. Sorry.

Mario, there was a final, later version of the old MVP Custom PE Builder tool which you can download from http://www.mechrest.com/plugins/MVP_ATIPEBuilder/Advanced/MVP_ATIPEBuil…

Beyond that, then there should be a log file created by the tool in the Logs folder that may throw more light on what issue is being encountered.

Note: the tool needs to be run as Administrator to work correctly!

I discovered something really absurd: the MVP_ATIPEBuilder_v190 software works only with the English version of Windows 7 both 32 and 64bit, at least it doesn't work with the Italian version (which I usually use) reporting the error mentioned in the first post. Maybe you didn't even know this thing, possible? I could never have thought that the language of an operating system could influence the functioning of a piece of software to the point of generating a critical error.
