Acronis True Image Incremental Backup Gets Stuck on one minute left yet again.
I have Acronis True Image 2020 and backup to a large external drive. I have Acronis do 4 incremental backups and then a full backup.
A couple of days ago Acronis tried to do a full backup and got most of the way through and got stuck on 1 minute remaining. It stayed like that for days. When I look at the dedicated backup hard drive it looks as if it did most of the full backup but somehow can't finish. I couldn't shut the computer off without shutting down Acronis. When I restart the computer Acronis tries to take up where it left off, but it's still stuck on the 1 minute remaining. The backup procedure had worked successfully for two previous cycles but got stuck again this time. This happened once before and I had to completely start over and create a new backup setup abandoning my previous setup.
Is there something I can do to kick it the arse to get the program moving again? This is getting tedious and is becoming unreliable. I tried looking at previous posts regarding people having a similar problem while cloning disks. But can't find anything pertaining to my particular problem. I like the Acronis concept and features, but it doesn't seem to be working for me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm going to upgrade to the subscription model to see if that does anything. But I'm not going to get my hopes up.
Regards...

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately the solution isn't that simple. I have about 10 Terabytes left. I went ahead and upgrade to the subscription level, & tried to restart the backup. The system ran over night and 4gb was backed up. At this rate it will be finished when a certain warm place freezes over.
I'm thinking the product shouldn't bet this difficult to use. Especially since I do everything by the numbers and the backup worked for a few tries in the past. Of course I had to start over a couple of times, which defeats the purpose of having a backup. If I can't get it to back up consistently then how can I trust it to restore if I ever need it?
I am spending way too much time on this.

Jon, what exactly are the sizes involved here given your mention of 10TB ?
What is the size of your source data and the size of the external drive used for storage?

Thanks again for replying, Steve. Not sure if this is the correct area since I've upgraded to the subscription level.
Anyway, I am doing a full back up of about 1.5 to 2tb of data every month with incremental once a week. My external hard drive is 12 tb. It worked fine for the first two months. Then last Monday it failed trying to do a full backup. I noticed on the drive there was a 1.6tb TIBX file for the same date that looked the right size, but the backup was stalled at one minute to go. Stayed there forever.
Yesterday I deleted that tibx file using Acronis, of course, and started a full backup manually. So far it's only backed up 500gb in 12 hours and says it has another 17 hours to go. Usually it only took an hour or so. I have zero confidence it will ever complete.
I'm thinking this shouldn't be this time consuming or difficult. I can't keep creating new backup sets every time Acronis decides to stop backing up. I need some consistency. Right now I don't trust it to help me should something happen to my data. I like the setup and user interface, it's just not working.
Thanks again for your help, it is appreciated.
Regards!

Jon, there have been issues reported in the past when very large volumes of data and storage drives have been involved but without any obvious resolution that I can remember!
At this point, the best area that I can direct you to look at is the log files for the backup task to see if there is any clues there as to what is happening or why?
Download a copy of the MVP Assistant log viewer tool and use this to look at the logs to see if they show any issues during the operation process?
The latest version of the new log viewer tool is at the link below.
MVP Assistant update for Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office (Version 1.1.6.0)
If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.
If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backups from earlier versions using .tib files) or using Cloning then look in the Demon logs.
Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.
The Schedule2 log contains information related to scheduled task but is one of the more difficult logs to read / work through.
The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.
