ATI 2020 TIBX says it is corrupt, but backup was successful

Thread needs solution

Hi there:

I am using the latest build, 21400 for ATI 2020. I may a backup and it was successful, but when I attempted to restore it, I received a corrupted file.

I create full backups (not differential or incremental) and I see the following:

BACKUPNAME.TIBX
BACKUPSNAME-OO1.TIBX
BACKUPNAME-OO2.TIBX

I clicked on the 002 file because that was the latest one - should I be clicking on the main TIBX file and if so, will I be prompted to select the latest backups via a calendar/time dialog window?

John, I assume that there is a typing error in your file names above and that they are all intended to be the same and the middle name has an extra letter S in the name by mistake?

The new .tibx backups do work somewhat differently than the previous .tib files and you can select the initial file (with no -00? suffix) and should be able to recover to any of the recovery points (date / time) that all this backup version chain contains.

Have you tried performing a validation for the version chain from the ATI 2020 Windows GUI?

How are you attempting to perform the restore?

Hi there:

The files were all validated - I am performing the restore from a bootable ATI 2020 USB key

Selecting the latest backup using the calendar/time window that is presented during a recovery procedure will restore the latest backup available.
