ATI2020 .tibx files not visible in Recovery mode

Thread solved

Hello, I  backed up an internal HDD with 2.6TB of data to an external HDD with 6TB capacity. As part of the backup process, I  validated the backup. The whole backup process took over 9 hours non stop. There is a .tibx file for this disk which I  can double click to see the contents in Windows Explorer.

I  then checked on the Recovery tab in the Backup screen, to see if this latest backup was visible, but there was no file  to recover. ( see attached)

I  also have another .tibx backup file for another internal HDD located on another external HDD. That  is not seen in ATI2020 either

How do I use Acronis True Image 2020 to restore /recover from these standalone .tibx files?

Jill, there are known issues that cause the Recovery tab to not be populated correctly which you should be able to resolve yourself.

Use the option to 'Add existing backup' which is found hidden behind the carat 'v' to the right of the normal '+ Add backup' option.

Select the 'missing' .tibx files one at a time from your external drive and it should relink it to the Recovery panel.

If you still see an issue, then do a Validation for the task which is also known to help with this issue.

Note: if you are intending to recover an OS disk backup then this should be done using the Acronis Rescue Media to boot the PC, and you should create and test that media to ensure that you understand how to use it.
If you start an OS disk restore from Windows then ATI will want to restart the PC anyway but will then boot into a temporary Linux based rescue environment which has known limitations!

Thanks Steve, you certainly are a Legend!  Many thanks for your expert advice, worked beautifully !!

I  followed your instructions for the two .tibx files, and found that I had to re-validate them. I  think mainly because the identifying letter for the two backup disks had changed ( eg G: became H:). Once that was done, the Recovery tab in backup mode was able to see all the files in the .tibx backup.

My next step is to make the Rescue media
