Backing up Raspberry Pi Images

Thread needs solution

Just looking for the recomended method to back up a raspberry Pi Boot drive (SD card or USB drive)

My current issue is I would like to back up my 2tb Retro Pi image (contains fat32 and ext4 partitions) but do not want to create a 2tb raw image using win32 disk imager

True Image can backup both FAT 32 and Ext4 partitions; FAT 32 Partitions are compressed, not sure about Ext4 partitions. Support for partitions using file systems other than FAT 34 and NTFS has changed significantly in recent years and I am uncertain of the current status of Ext4 support. @Steve Smith regularly backs up Ext4 partitions so hopefully he will be able to help out.
