Difference between .tib and .tibx
I have TI 2021 installed on two PC's with both doing differential backups. One PC saves the backups as .tib with the following naming: Full backup is "BakupName_Full_b1_s1_v1". Differential is "BakupName_diff_b1_s1_v1".
The other PC is set up with the same backup scheme but the backups are saved as .tibx and the naming is Full = "BackupName-0001.tibx" Differential = "BackupName-0002.tibx".
I guess my question is Why the difference? Can I get them to be the same? Thanks.

Is there any way to get the naming for the .tibx files to differentiate between the "Full" and "Differential" backups?

No - Acronis dropped using that naming convention when moving from .tib to .tibx files.
The type of file is shown in the Activity page for the backup task and also in the Clean up versions tool.
The only other option would be to use a name for your backup task that indicates what scheme the task is using, i.e. Diff-Backup, but this would be shown for all files including the initial full backup file.

Thanks Steve. I don't know why they chose to change that. It was better the old way. I would like to create an image using an older version so I can have the old naming scheme. Is there a place where I can find an old bootable rescue image to use to create a new disk image?

Dear Rcstan,
Thank you for reaching out. We would recommend checking this article: Acronis Bootable Media | Knowledge Base.

See forum topic: How to create a Disk backup as .tib (not .tibx) which will create a new backup task using the older .tib format in the Windows ATI 2020 or 2021 GUI.

Steve, I've tried to change the Script file but I am unable to save it after change. I have taken ownership the the file but still cannot save the change. Any suggestions?

The script file is protected by Acronis Active Protection which may still be running as a background service even after being turned off in the main Acronis GUI...!
Try opening the main services.msc control panel and set AAP to Disabled for the start option, then restart Windows and try saving the changed script file before launching Acronis.

Thanks Steve, that was the ticket.
