How to exclude subfolders from the backup?
Hello!
I am a software developer. Whenever I create a new project, there are some subfolders there, which are just temporary and should not be backuped.
For example subfolders like:
- obj
- debug
- release
- TestResults
Such folders contains many files, which are created whenever I compile my project.
I need to exclude such "child" subfolders from MANY selected "parent" folders on the disk.
I hoped it is possible to specify them as "exclusions". It seems that Acronis True Image 2020 can't do it. Correct?
If you are going to advice me: "It is easy - just unselect such folders manually", then - please don't.
I have 100+ projects on my dev disk. It is not possible to unselected all those subfolders manualy.
Any advice?

I've added your request as a vote for the existing feature request (the internal ID for ref TI-160100 Support wildcards for folder type exclusions when making a Files & Folders backup). Thank you!
For example subfolders like:

There is a way to do this but it is risky if one don´t know the pitfalls. I have had similar needs, iow the need to exclude many subfolders and specific file types.
For example, if you want to exclude Folder A you can add it to the Exclusions tab as per the attached image. This will exclude Folder A and all it´s content and it´s subfolders when running a backup.
The great thing is that it works and the thing to be aware of is that all folders named Folder A in your backup will be excluded. So if the name Folder A is used on five different places in your project none of them will be backupped. This will be a problem if you want only one (1) of them excluded.
So, by adding *obj* and *debug* and *release* and *TestResults* will work, but be aware of that all instances of the specified folders abowe in the backup will be excluded, in this case obj, debug, release and TestResults. That may or may not be a problem.

...good tools to quickly check how many and which folders would get excluded are Everything (www(.)voidtools(.)com/) or Ultrasearch Free (www(.)jam-software(.)de/ultrasearch_free), both freeware.
K, found my personal workaround - a bit of a PITA but works:
One can 1st select the whole folder/drive and then has to manually unselect any file/folder (that is not to be backed up) in the backup source selection tree (one can 'walk' the tree).
