Recovery (Files) message - cannot proceed to recover file selected

Thread needs solution

Hello - I'm running Acronis 2020 on a Windows 10 workstation. It has one backup defined, which backs up multiple drive partitions to a single Secure Zone partition on an external USB3 drive. The backup is nonstop. Attached is the screen shot.

I searched for files with a name "topaz" and it finds several files including the one I want. It allows me to select a file to recover but then gives me a message at the bottom

"Please select files and folders from the same backup version" the Next button is greyed out.

Any ideas how to get this file recovered?  thank you

Paul, welcome to these public User Forums.

As you are selecting the Downloads folder in your image, and assuming that is the only selection? then it suggests to me that there are files within that folder that come from different NSB backup versions, so you might need to drill down into the folder and select the specific files you want to recover.

I must stress that I do not use NSB or ASZ personally, so the above is just my suggestion rather than a verified fact!

Steve - many thanks for your quick reply! It appears to be a bug, I just talked with support. If the product allows me to search for a file in a folder and finds it, it should restore it right then if I ask. Instead, the only way Tech support could get it to work was to dig through the version dates until he found the date that matched the backup date. Not intuitive.

If it shows up in Search, I should be able to restore it from that screen, not fiddle with date versions :-(

thank you again

Paul, thanks for the update information, I would agree that this sounds like a bug too and if you can select it, it should be recovered!
