Restoring full and incrementals

Thread needs solution

The common advise I've seen for restoring from the latest full and subsequent incrementals is to just select the last incremental backup. Unfortunately, things are not that simple. You actually need to restore from the last full backup and then from every incremental since the last full. This is a very tedious process ad Acronis sure has been around for long enough to get this right...

Igor, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but you are incorrect here.  When you select the most recent incremental backup file, ATI will automatically search back through the whole version chain and recover all data from all prior incremental files and the initial full backup file for the chain.

Doing it any other way would not work and would only keep wiping out the target data in order to recover the next incremental then repeating the same, which would be a waste of time!
