Successful Completion Status Emails Randomly Start Up Again?

Thread needs solution

(This post submitted by a many-years, semi-literate True Image Home/Etc. user running on a Windows desktop PC with a NAS RAID1 destination,...)

Every 3 months my destination drive(s) fill up with my full/dailies, so I re-initiate the automated backups using a new name and direct the new full/dailies to a different empty destination.

For the past six weeks I've been running my automated 2020 daily-at-noon differential image backup/verify with no sign of a hiccup. For whatever reason the successful daily completions haven't generated an "all's okay" status email I've been receiving forever. After the first few days I went back to check on my setup defaults without noticing anything amiss, but I never took the time to dig any deeper. Not a big deal, as I just open the program most days to make sure everything completed successfully.

Three days ago the "Yipee! All's well!" one-line daily emails began arriving like they had previously. Just curious why now? I suspect since there was a recent monthly/significant Windows10 update downloaded/installed it somehow opened a previously-closed email launch gateway, or Norton's firewall somehow "adjusted" to the new Windows10 update, but that's just speculation.

I'm curious if anyone might have another clue I could examine? Thanks.

Karl, welcome to these public User Forums.

Glad to hear that you have started receiving some of the web based status notification emails for your backup tasks.

For lots of users, including myself, I have not had any of these notifications for many months and have given up on expecting them to arrive, using the email notification option for each of my backup tasks instead.

I started receiving the cloud based emails last week. Sometimes I get them for both machines sometimes for only one. They are certainly inconsistent.
