Windows 10 PC will not recognize my Acronis TI 2020 boot USB
Previously I used CD's to boot for restores. I recently created a boot USB, but the PC doesn't find the USB. I enabled USB boot support and am using UEFI booting. Any advice? Thanks in advance. Bob

Hi Steve, USB stick is 8 GB.
I used to use CD's (haven't yet checked to see if I can buy some that are > 700 MB). But they are only 700 MB in size so I had to go to a USB. This is my very first time trying to boot from one.
I noticed that in my PC's UEFI boot list, a rear USB port has a USB in it for screen saver pics, and it is listed in the boot list, but my front USB's are not, even though that is where my boot USB is located.
Thanks, Bob

Are you sure your front USB ports are connected and active? Can you see this USB stick in File Explorer?

Yes, I use them all of the time. There are 3.
Is there a way for me to get an email notification when you respond to me? I don't see how to turn it on, if there is a way.
Been looking on the Internet on how to boot my Dell from a USB. Different sites have different solutions but most address how to recover Windows 10 and not Acronis. Afraid to go too far out on a limb.

Bob, on some computers you may need to use a different approach for selecting the boot device, i.e. if you press / hold a Shift key while clicking on Restart, this will bring up the Windows 10 Recovery options menu, where you can select to use a different device to boot from.
Also, would suggest trying one of your rear ports if you are seeing your other USB stick plugged in one of those. Probably a good idea to remove that other USB stick while using boot media anyway.

Bob,
On Dell machines the F12 key pressed during boot should give you a one time boot menu where you can select the flash drive Dell Support - Boot flash drive
At the top of this page click on Account, then Edit Profile. Scroll down and look for email notification options.

Hello Enchantek - My previous email adr. (the one I originally used when I bought TC 2020) was hacked and so I had to create a new one. In Acronis, I took the wrong path and added a new account for the new email, but my serial number is still attached to my old email adr. Likely, my notifications from you are going to the old and invalid adr. Anyway, my account is screwed up and am hoping that Acronis will help me fix it.
The above is another issue; not connected to the one regarding the USB boot.
PS, the F12 key does not show the USB as a boot choice.

Hello Steve,
Moving the boot USB to the rear worked. Thank you for the help!
