ATI 2021 Fails to Activate
Hi all, I'm a long-time user of both True Image and Disk Director, but I'm new to the forum, so bear with me, please.
For some reason, even though I've registered TI2021 in my account on the Acronis website, the program refuses to activate on my computer (64bit Win7 Pro SP1).
When I open the Account page in the installed True Image program, it tells me that activation is required. Entering the serial number doesn't activate the program, it just brings me back to "Activation required!". and shows the number of days remaining.
"Resolve activation problem" has two options: "Try again" doesn't accomplish anything. I just end up back where I started. "Activate offline" requires that I use another computer, which I neither have nor have access to.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I should add, before anyone suggests it, that I have uninstalled and reinstalled True Image 2021, but the problem remains.

+1 to Steve's suggestion. That occurred to me last night when I first saw this post. Was on the iPad at the time and decided to leave it until today ... then completely forgot about it.

Thanks for the suggestion guys, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Even after closing and reopening the installed program, I still get "Activation required!". Am I frustrated? You bet!
I don't normally use the installed True Image for backups and recoveries, as I find the UI klutzy and difficult to use. I much prefer to work from a DVD created with the Rescue Media Builder tool as, even though it takes a long time to load, the True Image UI is clear and straight-forward.

Jim, please double check that you are entering the correct Acronis account email address and password, plus sign in to your Acronis Account web page and confirm that your registered serial shows there and is for the same version of ATI that you are installing, i.e. is for ATI 2021?

I checked, double-checked, and even triple-checked. Everything is as it should be, except that True Image 2021 on my computer will not activate. Thanks for your help, even though it didn't (feeble attempt at humor). I'll contact Ekaterina.

Steve, Everything in my Acronis account is as it should be, with TI2021 properly registered.
Interestingly enough, when I logged onto Windows 10, I found that I had already installed TI2020. I installed TI2021 over it, which showed it as an upgrade. When the upgrade completed, I opened the program and discovered that it required activation. After going through the necessary steps, I was presented with the same situation experienced with Windows 7.
In short, I am unable to activate True Image 2021 in either Windows7 Pro or Windows 10 Pro.
I sent a message explaining the situation with Win7 (I had not yet checked Win10) to Ms Surkova but, so far, have not received a reply.

Jim, a further thought, do you have either a VPN or Proxy involved here? There are known issues with activation if so!
Hopefully, Ekaterina will reply tomorrow after the weekend break.

Steve, you hit the nail on the head. When I disconnected my VPN (SurfShark) and opened TI2021, it showed "The product has been successfully activated". It never occurred to me that my VPN might be the culprit, so I can't thank you enough. Now to do the same in Windows 10.

Jim, glad to have helped find the nail! The ATI activation doesn't like working through any VPN or Proxy..!
