Acronis True Image Echo Workstation v10 - Recovery Problem

Thread needs solution

I am having trouble restoring an image to another computer using Acronis True Image Echo Workstation software.

The source computer was backed up to an external hard drive using Acronis software. Tried to restore the image to a like computer (DELL GX280 tower) and it appeared to restore successfully however after restarting the computer the image had not been restored. I have tried the restore more than once, even using an .iso CD (found this recommendation on the Acronis support web page - TrueImageWorkstationEcho_s_en.iso), but with no success.

The following message/error is generated after the restore and before the boot:

Loading, please wait...
No RAID disks
Reading all physical volumes. This may take a while...
No volume groups found
No volume groups found
No volume groups found
in LinuxMountManager::Directory::EnableNotification(), type=138
in LinuxMountManager::Directory::EnableNotification(), type=128
in LinuxMountManager::Directory::EnableNotification(), type=128

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Harold,

Thank you for posting. I will do my best to help you with this issue.

At the moment it is not clear why this issue occurs. We can try using ABR10 bootable media which will help us localize the issue. In a few minutes I will send you a private message with a download link for the trial bootable media. It is limited to recovery operations only but it is compatible with backups created with the Echo version.

If it does not help, please let me know which OS you are restoring and kindly send me this report collected from ABR10 bootable media.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.
