2015 just plain does not work.

Thread needs solution

I am NOT an amateur, I have worked with and on computers for more years then I care to say. 2014 works fine with no issues. Their so called tech support says it's a system issue. How can that be when 2014 works so nice so easy. Even the recovery disks I have now made 5 NONE will boot into my computer yet 2014 recovery disks boot fine.

Lets cut the nonsense out and I have decided to just stick with what works and that's 2014 version. it's sad, but I came in and bought 2014 with the 'free' upgrade option to 2015 so I really have not lost much with staying and using 2014. Like some others have said unless I see updates made which also, I am sure, will NOT be told about cause we only get a month support to download and then NOTHING. so won't even know in a few days when that runs out if there ever is an update to 2015, maybe see what 2016 brings ... LOL

Robbd,

some details about your PC/laptop and what hasn't actually worked (other than the recovery media problem) would be useful if you hope someone on the forum can solve your TI 2015 problems.

I'm reluctant to try to help for fear of being called an employee or paid to respond!

So if this helps, my 2015 worked from day one! on a Lenovo "T" series laptop imaging 2 intel SSDs' over a wireless network to a Synology NAS, later by a network cable same scenario. Win X64 SP1

I have added to the backup, activate an incremental backup, set a schedule, selected files from the backup and restores said file to another location on the drive.

Not much more I can say other than that, no modifications no special circumstances other than this did not replace an existing TI but I do also run 2012 on my desktop and have had TI products for some time but stopped at 2012, I have never been happy with Acronis and if you could search my posts going back you would see that, so I regard this as being an unbiased comment.

Well I do want to apologize at the statement I made.

It just seems the amount that have issues highly out weighs the ones who don't. I am right now doing a complete un-install of 2014 then going to do an install of 2015. I guess to me if the recovery media don't work that already is a bad sign, if my computer where to encounter an issue. As Said 2014 and I also found laying around a 2011 recovery disk that still boots. so again just makes you go hmmmm, when the 2015 recovery media is not even working. I will try once more to make a recovery media once install is complete of 2015. the reason I am highly concerned is I can't also access the backups from the main program 2015 under Windows 7.

Tech support has also seen that and also remoted computer and could not help with the issue. It also was said to make a recovery media :/

I have a Dell desktop with Windows 7 Ultimate 7 64 bit, of course fully updated Windows 7 Ultimate. I don't see what could be on the system again if 2014 worked that would effect 2015 and why then others also are having major issues if there is no issues ....

I just see many unhappy customers begging for a working product especially seeing how well 2014 worked not only for me but many others.

If I left out any other important computer info let me know.

RobbD,

What model Dell is this PC? IS it one of the MediaCentre ones?

Do you know if it has a non standard partitioning system (Dells have in the past had models with non standard sector sizes).

The backups that can't be seen:

Are these on an internal or external drive, if external what type (USB/NAS etc)?

Are these disk/partition images or files and folder backups?

Where they made with 2015 or an earlier version? You mention 2011, I just want to double check if this is actual TI 2011 or TIH 11?

If you right click on the tib file, are you able to explore the file or mount it?
