About the name of the save

Thread needs solution

Hello,

When I do a save system, I put of course the name, like WIN7PROx64_SP1. The extension is .tib, good. But when it's done, I get that : WIN7PROx64_SP(1).tib !!! Do you know how remove this (1). I did it just renaming the file but like that the archive did't recognize ! I tried to use different level of split, up to 1 To, but nothing ! Please, can someone help me ? Thx

King regards

Your best bet is to just ignore the "(1)"; it's an artifact of how ATI tries to keep track of tibs. I bleive it was fixed up somewhat in the latest version but not completely.

Also, if you make any change to the filename or delete a tib, you should do it frorm within ATI so the ATI databsase knows what's going on, what task set the file belongs to, etc.

Fabrice,

I agree with Scott.
You are much better off NOT trying to change the default file name, in particular if you are using 2011 latest build. First, manually editing the TIB file names will utterly confuse ATI when it tracks where each archive is. Second, using the provided time tags (@date@, @time@) will not work out for you in several (corner) cases, and compromise your backup chain.
My recommendation is to use the same name for the task and for the TIB files (although ATI lets you edit the task name), and not use the time tags.

Hello,

Thx Scott and Pat for your answers.
It's sure there is worse problems in the world...
It was just to understand...

Have a good day.
