Access Denied - Nonstop Backup

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I have the product Acronis True Image Home 2012 and I want to use the nonstop backup feature.

I run the latest version of ATIH 2012 Build 6154 on windows 7 64 bit.

I tried now several times to let run the nonstop backup in combination with my nas wd my book live 3 TB and have after some days troubles to access the backup data.

After I have configured nonstop backup to run it works create a full backup.
I can browse the backup through ATIH 2012 by clicking on the nonstop backup name.

Now, after some days I see that the nonstop backup is running but I have no access to browse or clean any data from the backup.
I use the german language version of the program, so I will tell the error messages in german and english, don´t know exactly how the right error messages are in english because of it.

This message appear after clicking Cleaning... (Bereinigung...)
Access denied (Zugriff auf die Datei verweigert)

with the
Event-Code: 0x00640069+0x0064023C+0x0064028A+0x00040014+0x0000FFF0+0x800704C3

Or
after clicking on the backup name inside of ATIH 2012 a new window open with the message "Access denied" inside.

I have deleted the nonstop backup several times with older builds and tried it again and again but nothing helped.

By the way, inside of the nonstop backup configuration dialog I changed the name mybooklive to the ip-address of the device because I have read something about a better behaviour of ATIH with ip-addresses instead of names.
I have tried both ways with the same result.

Best regards
Killerjoe

What NAS do you use and is it attached via a mapped share. You are correct that either using UNC or IP address to the NAs is the better way to go, but if you still have the NAS mapped at the same time this might be causing a problem.

Thank you for your helpful answer!

After disconnecting my shares to the wd my live book nas and a restart of my computer the nonstop backup work like expected.
But I wish me that this problem will be fixed in the next build of ATIH 2012!
It makes no sense to me that I need to disconnect all shares to my nas to let nonstop backup run without problems.
