Acronis 11 suddenly stopped backing up . . .

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image Home 11 on two near-identical Windows 7 64 bit laptops, and have been happily backing up both on a regular basis for some time.
Today, for reasons that aren't obvious to me, one of the installations won't backup - but the other is still working.
I go through the backup setup until I get to the screen where I can choose files to exclude. When I click on Next . . . nothing happens.
The only system change I am aware of is the routine Windows updates - there have been quite a few, although both laptops have had them so I thought that couldn't be the case.

Are you referring to version 11 of many years ago,
or are you referring to version 2011?

Try doing a backup from the TI Recovery CD and see if that works.

Thank - yes, it is version 11 from years ago . . . but it was working fine until yesterday. I'll try your suggestion and post back.

YOu may also want to re-install. If I remember correctly, 11 would allow you to restart the installation program and provide user with a Repair opiton which would install a fresh version overtop the existing installation.

Thanks - I did a System Restore to 3 days ago and all is fine. It must be a Windows Update :-( Now to work out which one - I'll post back when I find out.
