Acronis 2011 compared to 2010

Having used Acronis 2010 very successfully and without any pain - I've found the 2011 to be a rather unstable unfriendly and constantly giving me grief program which I paid good money for.
I hope it is just me and my W7 PC, but I wish now I'd stuck to 2010 - has anyone else been through the mill with this 2011 version.
I find the layout rather amateurish - and the refreshing after a backup awful the list appears to be bobbing up and down for a period of time - editing the settings again poor.
My last error was somehow it kept prompting for a Volume 5 on a scheduled backup - tried to cancel but it just went round and in this error loop - only way to clear was reboot - and delete the scheduled backup from the list.
My confidence level is pretty low with this now - and considering using a 'freebie' backup program to backup my PC and important data.
Shame, because if this the case as the new version, to me it has spoiled what was a good easy program to use (2010 version)
