Acronis 2012 Home Fails Network Authentication shared drive in VirtualBox.

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Basically I'm trying to beta test Acronis 2012/2013 and starting off in VirtualBox Windows 7 64 with Acronis 2012 before I move on to 2013. Would like to write to a network share I created in Virtualbox settings. I can access that share in the virtual windows environment no problem. Was even able to use the Emergency CD ISO Recovery environment creator to write an ISO file no problem. However Acronis 2012 comes up with a username/password login dialogue and every password I use doesn't work. Can anyone assist?

Thank you.

Hello David Moheban,

Thank you for using and betatesting Acronis software!

Actually our products require the same credentials that you would normally use to access the share in Windows. Please remember that if your network share is mapped you'll need to unmap it beforehand. For more information please check this article. If you still have the problem please contact our tecnical support here

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello,
I have the same problem with ATIH 2013 (and ATIH 2014 TRIAL).
Unmapping the drive doesn't fix the issue.
Entering the credential of the user logged into Windows doesn't fix the issue.

I didn't find a way to access "\\Vboxsvr" shared folder from ATIH. Is asks for credentials but it gives an error when I enter the right credentials.

Could you help me please?
