acronis 2013 Build 6514 doesn't show all partitions for backup on CD ROM Boot (Toshiba Laptop)

Thread needs solution

This is strange. I can't see the "C" and "X" partitions (yes, I use "X" instead of "D") for backup to a USB drive when I boot from CD ROM. It shows the USB as Disk 1 and doesn't recognize the built in drive. Is there a fix for this? I've used Acronis for years and I really need to get this disk backed up!

Is it a GPT disk? If so, try newly downloading the ATI bootable Rescue Media ISO (listed as Bootable Media) from your Acronis.com account. The web site lists it as the same build number as previously, but is actually newer build 6528. It fixes the wireless keyboard/mouse issue and the GPT disk issue. The fixes are only in the new build of the Rescue Media, as no new Windows version has been released.

Thanks for the response. Okay, you got me....(I have UEFI and can change to CSM to boot from CD ROM.)

(1) I have a nagging suspicion you're right on GPT. How do I tell if it is a GPT disk?
(2) I have an account on Acronis and am looking for "ATI bootable Rescue Media ISO". Where is it? Do I have to re-download the TI 2013, re-install, and re-burn a CD ROM?

Look at item 7 inside the above link. This will show how to download the ISO file from which you can burn a new Bootable CD.

An install of the complete program is not necessary in order to create a new CD. An install of entire program would NOT enable you to create a correct updated CD. Only the single downnload of the ISO file can produce the most updated 2013 bootable CD.

Great job! It worked. Burned a CD ROM and tried it on Windows/8. It not only found all of the partitions but the reboot problem with the internal mouse problem also went away. Wonder why they didn't make 6528 available to all of us.

Thanks a lot. Appreciate the assistance. I've used Acronis loyally for years, recommended it to my previous computer clients, and am glad there was a fix for this.
