Acronis Backup Strategy Recommendation - with SSD

Thread needs solution

I'm running a SSD and want to avoid System Restore.

My setup
Win 7 64bit - Acronis True Image 2014
OS Drive C - SSD
Backup Drive D - HDD

Goal - to use Acronis in place of System Restore
(Windows will not allow the relocation of the Restore Point to another Drive)

I think a Differential Schedule is a good choice, but I'd like your suggestions.

Thanks,
Bill

Without knowing your backup needs, a Custom/Differential would be good place to start.
Click on link #2 and read it all th way to the end. The example 11-Dif wouuld fit your needs is you want the diff type backup.

My recommnedtion is that you do use the Disk mode type backup. If your backup D is your only storage disk, do consider gettting another so you can backup to two different disks should the one disk go bad or corrputed.

If new to TrueImage, it is also important that you test your restore disk and maybe even restore a few files. You want to confirm that your primary recovery device (TI Recovery CD) sees all your disks, etc.
