Acronis blocks Nuance

I have Nuance pdf converter pro. It constantly asks for activation and Nuance (who are more responsive than Acronis) have tried various things. The latest is that Acronis is causing the behaviour and they asked me to turn off (from msconfig)
Acronis Scheduler2 Service (called also "AcrSch2Svc")
Acronis NonStop Backup Service (called also "afcdpsrv")
Acronis Sync Agent Service (called also "syncagentsrv")

and restart. Having done this I have lauched pdf converter pro and it does not ask for activation. I will try again tomorrow to see if continues to be the case but:

1) Anyone any ideas/experience about this?
2) what happens if I leave those services not running?

I do an image once a week so I don't have the constant backup running
