Acronis eating up hard drive space
Hi, I am running Acronis 2009 build 9809 Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 on a Dell Studio 1535.
Whenever I use Acronis to back up my "C & D" drives to my external Western Digital hard drive, about 9 GB of space on my "C" drive is used up.
I have unsuccessfully used both the Windows search function and Glary utilities to try to find the file(s).
No other programs but Acronis is running during this backup period and I am disconnected from the Internet.
I discovered this by accident because I am cleaning up my "c" drive. It is occurring EVERY time I run Acronis for a backup.
I sincerely appreciate your help.

Hi GroverH, thank you.
I followed your instructions and found 2 ".tib" files out there
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\tmpd1.tmp
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\tmpd0.tmp
I also followed this tutorial to limit the size of the shadow drive to 10 GB and recovered 30 GB of hard drive space. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76227-system-restore-disk-space.html
I will follow these instructions the next time I run Acronis. Check the Windows Restore option and turn if off for a backup run. Change the task to do not schedule and create a new task being especially careful about what is checked to be backed up. Suggest you check mark only the disk
I sincerely appreciate your help!
