What version and build number are you using?
Try the Backup from the bootable Rescue CD.

That's the build I use, but I never use the One Click Backup. I only use the manual Backup mainly from within Windows and I do the test Restores using the Rescue CD and have no problems with the progress bars. My OS is Win 7 64 bit.
