Thread needs solution

Hi,

I just bought a copy of Acronis True Image 2013 and want to clone my hard drive to an SSD drive but it's not working for me. Maybe what I'm trying to do is impossible with Acronis but if you can give me any guidance, I'd appreciate it.

I bought a Lenovo that came with Windows 8 Pro installed on a HDD drive. I bought an SSD drive and I need to load all partitions and files from the HDD drive to my SSD so I can use the SSD instead. The HDD drive (source drive) is in my computer and the SSD (target drive) is mounted using a USB.

I did a Disk Clone using Acronis and it asked me to reboot to complete the operation. Please note that I've turned off Secure Boot in the BIOS and I see that it launches Acronis just fine. But, the screen just says "Loading...Please Wait..." and nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong? Is it not seeing my USB drive? I saw that on some forums they're saying to create an Acronis Startup ISO. I don't see how that will help me in cloning my drive.

Please help! Thanks.
Bobby

Make sure you boot your computer on the recovery CD, and that you have enable legacy boot in the Lenovo.

If that still doesn't work, your only option is to upgrade to the Plus Pack and create a WinPE-based disk.

I received the message "Failed to initialize properly" so I deleted True Image and now cannot reinstall it because it will not accept the producty code.
