Acronis not working after update

Thread needs solution

yep the update is here, and now I cant get it to work on my W7 machine, wont even open.
At the risk of being banned let me ask, is there another program that can back up a system more reliably?

Use the user created bootable media CD and do a full and complete backup of your system to include all partitions. Then if something should go wrong, you have a recovery mechanism and the CD works well for backups or restores.

The 7119 update can be downloaded from your own personal account in Acronis--assuming that you have registered your 2012 purchase at some time prior.

You can opt to install overtop the existing 2012 or uninstall the installed version before installing the update. Do take the time to make sure you have a full and complete up- to-date backup before attempting either--just a good safety precaution.

Hi, I have same issue here. After upgrading to the latest 7119 update, my Acronis hangs when trying to do Cloning after specifying the source and target disk. Previously, it will auto reboot and initiate the cloning process. But, now its seems to get stuck. Pls advise asap. Thanks
