Acronis Opens Then Disappears

I make a full copy of my hard drives every 2 weeks alternating between 2 different external hard drives. I am using Windows XP SP3 as my operating system. Today when I opened Acronis True Image 2014 the opening screen which shows all the previous backup came up and it shuffled through them, which took some time. After this finished, the screen disappeared and True Image was gone. I re-opened True Image 3 or 4 times and the same thing happened.
This leads to another question, is there a simple way to delete all the historical, no longer need backups without having to delete them individually?
