Acronis Startup Recovery Manager and Truecrypt
Hi,
the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is messing up the Truecrypt bootloader, vice versa. I end up with an unbootable partition (first case), or with and deactivated startup recovery manager (latter).
Also, I'm unable to use the Windows repair option from CD as long as the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is active. Windows needs to reboot during repair action and I guess the ASRM residing in the MBR is messing up things. I get stucked during boot.
In addition - why am I required to reboot for each stupid task, even if the system drive isnt affected by the action (eg. cloning non-system drive 3 to non-system drive 4). Again, Acronis is fucking up the MBR due to this procedure, which is especially harmful if the system drive is encrypted with Truecrypt. IT WONT BE BOOTABLE THEREAFTER. Why is in necessary to access MBR for every simple task and is there a workaround? Is the workstation version of True Image more clever?
thanks
