Acronis TI Home 2009 creating problems in Device Manager in X64 Vista
Has anyone had a problem with unknown drivers (under Storage Volumes) in Device Manager on X64 Vista? Upon closer examination in Device Manager (under this Storage Volumes) folder, I read the message......'the device cannot start (code 10).
I initially had no idea that Acronis TI Home 2009 was the culprit; however, I later figured that out. As soon as I uninstalled this program from my PC, the error message in Device Manager (as described above) went away. I am going to have to do more research before putting Acronis TI Home back on my system. This was a retail copy that was purchased at Best Buy in the early part of 2009.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Why would this create a conflict as described above? Thank you for any replies.

Thanks for your quick reply. I have been a user of Acronis TI Home for a while now and previously had versions 10 and 11 on my pc's without a problem. It was disappointing to have this problem with Acronis TI Home 2009.
Question, am I going to have to reinstall my bad version of Acronis TI Home 2009 in order to get the most recent build of this product? Unlike TI 10 and 11, I purchased Acronis TI Home 2009 from Best Buy and never registered it on the Acronis web site.
I could certainly reinstall it, get is registered with my product key, and then attempt to get it updated to the latest build. However, I would prefer to just download the most current build for Acronis TI Home 2009 and then enter my existing product key? Is that possible? Thanks for any additional help.

Just register your TI 2009 key in your Acronis account and you should be able to download the latest build.

Thanks for the reply. I went to www.acronis.com/online-registration and registered Acronis True Image Home 2009. I was then able to download the latest build from June 2009. This build has corrected the problem in Device Manager and no more errors listed.
I guess the only thing now is the need to recreate another full disc image file of my hard drive. I did it the other day but now I don't trust it because it was an earlier build of Acronis True Image Home 2009.
