Acronis True Image 2014 - incremental backup - error "The specified file does not exist"

Thread needs solution

Hi, I've searched the forums and seen many other posts regarding this error, however none seems to include an answer that addresses the problem as I'm experiencing it.

I'm running ATI 2014 Standard. One week ago, I successfully ran the initial incremental backup to an external drive. I am now attempting to run incremental backup again. However, I am receiving the "specified file does not exist" error message.

acronis_error_1.png shows what my screen looks like when I start.

acronis_error_2.png shows what it looks like immediately after I click "Back up now."

_3.png shows what I get after a minute or two.

If I click "browse," I get this (_4.png).

As you can see, the only file on the external drive is the original backup performed last week.

If I click on that file for use as my incremental addition, I see this (_5.png).

If I click on the arrow to the right of the file name bar, this window pops up (_6.png).

My only option appears to click "yes". However, all that happens is that I get back to here (_7.png), and after a minute or two I'm back at seeing the same original error (_8.png).

My advance thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Another capture would help. Post a capture of your main menu showing all the tasks listed.

Also post a capture of your storage folder showing all the tib files sorted in detail mode and sorted date/time sequence.

When a task is created, the first backup will be a full size bacup and is the base of any incremental backups.
AFter the full exists, then the incrementals can be added either manually or via schedule and only one task is needed to make that happen.
The capture will hopefully show me some history.
