Acronis True Image 2015 @ Win7 64Bit - "Backup now" (Backup Jetzt) and nothing happened

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I have Acronis True Image 2015 @ Win7 64Bit. When I press "Backup now" (Backup Jetzt), nothing happened. I had this effect last year also (same system) and after two hours of effort suddenly it runs.

I have today updated my Acronis ... same effect.

Irritating for me: the backup seen @ device E: has a different file date compared with what Acronis signals (see files). But this versin on E: was definitively the last Backup.

Please help

Gottfried

Hello Gottfried,

From looking at your second clipboard image, am I correct to assume that your complete backup task is not scheduled, but is just run on-demand, manually?

I would suggest downloading the Acronis Scheduler Manager utility program, schedmgr.exe and using this to ensure that you have no 'queued' tasks that are preventing your Backup now button from being executed.

When you run schedmgr.exe, it will open a Command prompt type windows, type the command get list which will show you a list of all scheduled tasks in the system - if you want to check what these are, then compare the name(s) against the script names in the C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Scripts folder - these are scripts for each of your tasks - you can open these with an text editor such as Notepad.

To clear all scheduled tasks, type the command task zap.

The KB document for the Acronis Scheduler Manager has further information and examples.

A futher utility that I would recommend is the Log File Viewer app which will help you to look at the log files for your backup tasks, that may help you to understand when the backups were run and check the dates in the logs versus those shown in Windows Explorer.
