Acronis True Image 2015 Won't Start

Thread needs solution

OS: Windows 10. Acronis build: Unknown since I can't start it.

This just began happening. I click on the Acronis icon in my taskbar and I get the message "Do you want this app to make changes to your machine?". This is normal behavior from my experience. When I click on the "Yes" button, the dialog goes away but nothing happens.

How can I get the product to start?

I am having the exact same problem.  I also have Windows 10.  It all worked last time I tried it a month ago.  I get the message "Do you want this app to make changes to your machine?"   I click "Yes" and nothing happens.   McAfee LiveSafe has been installed in the interim which I'm not sure if it has anything to do with the problem.  I completely turn off McAfee with the same result.  I put UAC at the lowest setting and now I don't get the message and the Acronis True Image still doesn't start.  What should we do?

I "assume" that you are starting TrueImage via a desktop shortcut or a menu option.

Instead, RIGHT CLICK on starting option used and choose "run as administrator".

Let us know if that works.

I am running windows 8.1. Never tried to modify the acronis zone before. I tried running it as administrator makes no difference. It wants to create another secure zone and thats not what I want to do. I want to modify the size of the existing acronis zone. I used to run partition magic a long time ago what a fantastic tool. I'm sure acronis is meant to and able to modify the size of an existing secure zone but how?

I am running True Image by clicking on the icon.  I have tried 'Run as an administrator" without success.  I have even uninstalled, rebooted and installed again.   It seems to install okay but then same result.  I have looked at task manager where I see it briefly and then it is gone.

Drotta,

I would suggest that you run the 2015 TI Cleanup utily (refer my signature item 5) which will uninstall plus clean up any residue.

All new tasks will be needed and recommend that any new task have never used task names plus store in a new folder or sub/folder.

David,

This is a liink to the help file.

Another option would be try changing the secure zone size when booted from the user created TI Recovery CD. I have not done such, but I believe that functions exists on the CD.

I recently had to Acronis to restore everything!

It seems to have worked. But every 30 minutes I receive the message in lower right corner (with a nice little "Bing !")...

"Acronis back up has failed".....Do I need to do a complete 2-day backup again...or what ?

I have been having the same problem, installed the program in october and the program stopped backing up in december. I click on the shortcut and the window comes up "do you want to allow this program to make changes to this computer". I click yes and nothing happens. I also uninstalled the program and reinstalled and tried running as administrator. I am disappointeed in this program, I read good things and come to find that the support is horrible only 30 days from purchase and then nothing. This problem seems to be affecting quite a few people, I would appreciate any help.

Hello all,

If you experiencing the issue with the application launch under Windows 10 (latest product version Acronis True Image 2016 and build, clean up and re-installation didn’t help), please send us Acronis system report via sharing feedback option or contact our support team. After the standard support program expires you can purchase an Acronis Pay Per Incident Support license to contact support via phone/chat/email with technical issue. If the issue is on the side of the product we will refund the cost of the support fee.

Thank you,
