[Acronis True Image Home 2011] Error message "Specifiy location of ..."

Hallo,

I'm using True Image Home 2011 Build 6597, but the error I want to report occured in earlier versions, too. It runs on Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) with all patches from Microsoft on a Intel Core i3 processor.

Mostly the creation of the backup archive - the *.tib-file - succeeds, but sometimes True Image Home requests the filename. The comparision after creating backups between the *.tib-file and the contents to backup never succeeds without this funny request. It seems that the connection to the destination drive gets lost. The destination are via USB 2.0 attached Volumes.

There is no problem for other software accessing those drives and a change of the USB-ports for those drives did not help as well, so I assume that there is an error in True Image Home.

As well I want to support the critics of the user interface. A backup software has to have a list of possible jobs and a second list of the result of those jobs, the backups themselves. It's very confusing to mingle them in one list. I think the user interface of the 2010-version was much better.
